Time To Get A Move On

As the new year dawns it brings with it the excitement of knowing that this is the year that we will be making the big move. If everything goes as planned, we should be celebrating the next new years in Austin. In the meantime, there is a lot to accomplish.

We have initially set the time frame for a mid-April move. The next step is to begin the job search and while we casually searched for openings in December, it is time to start looking in earnest. It is also time to create a basic time line:

January

Find and apply to jobs that fit our needs

February

Decide on moving arrangements (truck, pod, etc)

Arrange trip to Austin for interviews

March

Start the search for an apartment

Sell my vehicle

Finalize moving arrangements

Arrange trip to Austin for interviews/apartment hunting

April

Sign lease on an apartment

Move

While this is obviously a loose time line, I feel it is important to get something in place. It is a good starting point and will become more fleshed out as the details are worked out.
