So this is the part where we wait...
It has been awhile since the last post and there is a good reason for that: nothing has happened. That may be a bit dramatic so I will change that to nothing big has happened. Sure we have been applying for jobs and I even had a telephone interview. Problem is, they wanted someone who was actually in Austin and would be available to start in a few days. I am starting to wonder if it will be possible to get a job without actually being there first.
So on to the progress that we have made. There has been a flurry of cleaning, throwing away and Ebaying taking place. Both of us filled a 30 gallon garbage bag each of old clothes to donate to the Salvation Army. Also, endless papers, magazines and less important mementos have been tossed with extreme prejudice. On a more lucrative side, I have found that there are some amazing items that one can sell on Ebay. I actually sold an old Playbill from the Broadway show 'Mamma Mia!' for over ten dollars. Suffice it to say I have since inundated Ebay with all kinds of crap hoping for similar dividends.
I guess that is a positive as less to move will be beneficial in the long run. Hopefully, there will be some positive news on the job front in the near future.
